A newborn baby's first days are so precious and really do pass in a blink of an eye, so I am over the moon that you are here looking to have some memories captured forever!

My Newborn Photography Style:

As a newborn photographer, I simply love to create beautiful photos of that show your newborn baby to their truest form in a natural baby-led way!

From their crinkly little yawns, their sweet wake-up stretches and their cutest little sneezes.

As well as all their itty bitty features, their cute button nose, tiny toes, hands that have you completely wrapped around their little finger, everything new and beautiful that is your newborn baby.

My studio work is very relaxed and baby-led, so if your precious newborn baby needs a feed, change or cuddle during the photo shoot, that's exactly what they will get!

I don’t pose baby's like traditional newborn photographers, who carefully pose the baby into super-cute positions, I allow them to pose themselves (with some guidance) and let their tiny personalities shine through. I am one of a few newborn photographers in the Plymouth, Devon area, that specialise in photographing newborns this way - the natural baby-led way!

Working in this way, I will gently help your baby to nod off and capture them asleep, but if they want to be awake for their newborn photo shoot and not miss out on the action, that's fine too, I adore the expressions they give me when they stay awake and I love capturing their yawns, stretches and open eyes!

What this means for you is that all of the newborn photographs that I capture are unique as your baby.

How long will the session last?

My newborn photography sessions normally last up to two hours - max! This gives plenty of time for feeds, changes and settling, but often our sessions are done within an hour! So if a long session with traditional posing isn't for you, then you are in the right place!

In order to be able to capture the best photos possible, your newborn baby needs to be nice and relaxed which is why I do not rush the sessions. I want you to enjoy your experience with me, whilst we capture some amazing memories of your newborn baby for you, but equally I do not keep you longer than necessary!

I only book one newborn session in a day, so if more time is needed then we can keep going, but in truth I haven't had this happen...

Where will my newborn session take place?

I have a comfortable, simple home studio in Ham, Plymouth that has been created specifically with little ones in mind. We have plenty of street parking outside and a few minutes away from some shops and well as being privileged of having a nature reserve on our doorstep!

When should I book a newborn photo shoot?

You can book your newborn photo shoot any time after your 12-week scan.

I only book a limited number per week to allow for flexibility around due dates, so booking early is recommended to avoid disappointment. Although, don't panic if you are looking for a photographer for your newborn if they have already arrived, get in touch, I may still have space!

When it comes to photographing your newborn baby, the ideal time is around 7-14 days old while they’re still tiny and squishy.

But the beauty with my photography style is that it can be done anytime up to around 6-8 weeks. Just remember in this time your little one will change and grow rapidly, so if you are wanting to capture their newness, then sooner is better than later.

Once booked, make sure to let me know as soon as they arrive so that we can get your session date confirmed - exciting stuff!
