What is a lifestyle studio?
As with all my photography sessions, my lifestyle studio is more prompt based rather than posing clients to gain specific pictures, I like to keep my portrait sessions fun, very relaxed and child centred.
My studio is simple, clean and all white, so the focus is completely on your child and family and not the surroundings!
What should I wear to my session?
My studio is a very simple set up, and that includes the clothing. Light and airy clothes are best, neutral colours or soft pastels can help create this feel. Whether you decide to dress up or dress down, this is completely up to you, as long as you're comfortable and happy and your outfits don't detract from you as a family.
I prefer textures over prints, so laces or woolly jumpers adds interesting texture to you images, this is not saying print doesn't have its place, soft floral's can equally be pretty for your session, as long as you don't have conflicting patterns but large prints and bold colours often distract you from what's really important in your photos, your family.
Babies are super easy to dress, simple little rompers or bodysuits work perfectly. This makes sure that all the focus goes onto your baby and not on what they are wearing!
Children can be simply something plain, neutral or pastel coloured, such as a pretty dress or a shirt.
I do have a small collection of neutral rompers and outfits at my studio available to borrow during your session, as well some maternity clothing.

Do I need to bring anything to the session?
Aside from you happiest smiles? No, not really.
But you can bring along your children's favourite toy or comforter to help them better settle into the studio and may be advisable to bring along a snack, to use as encouragement during the photo shoot.
What happens at one of your sessions?
Oh it's all fun and games here! I don't like to pose, but for family shots, I may ask you all to snuggle, tickle and play with your children, read stories, sing songs, dance and many other things!
Tell me about your children, what they love and I will make sure we create some magic together that shows your child's personality and beaming smiles!
All my sessions are fun and relaxed and tailored to your family, when children are having fun they are the best versions of themselves.
Can we bring our dog?
Yes absolutely, well behaved dogs are always welcome! I love including dogs in a session, after all they are part of the family too! It's so adorable photographing children with their beloved pet, if you wish to include your dog, please let me know when booking so we can be sure I have everything set up and I have a few treats in my pocket!
