November said hello to the opening of my brand new studio in Ham, Plymouth!
I closed my last studio last year thinking I would never do studio work again, oh boy how wrong was I? I thought I didn't like studio work, again I was wrong. I love studio work, I just didn't like how I was doing it. Goodbye old studio, hello new.
Recently I came across a new style of studio photography that was simplistic, easy and I was able to incorporate my lifestyle base without getting overly posed, which I didn't previously enjoy. So I researched this new white on white studio concept, and the more I found out the more I loved it, it was everything I was as a creator and took out everything I hated about studio photography and everything I loved about lifestyle photography and blended both styles together beautifully.
This new portrait style would allow me to capture stunning photographs of children and babies without worrying about getting them into poses that were not natural or fun for the children. I could keep my studio sessions light-hearted, fun, interactive and be sure that no two sessions were ever the same, My photo sessions could remain about capturing the heart of the family and not the perfect family photo, which I still get of course, but in a more relaxed and natural way and as a studio photographer this would remain the core of what I have always believed in, capturing the beauty and uniqueness of each family and what makes them special.
The best part of reopening my new studio, is that I will get to work in the comfort of my own home in Ham, Plymouth. I can provide comfort to you my clients, offer tea and coffee or even filtered water whilst you relax in my home during your session. We can create beautiful memories together whilst eating cake and chatting about anything and everything in a relaxed manner than helps create an environment where you can have your photo taken of you and your children without worrying about being a studio environment that's impersonal.
