Family Photographer | The Hitchcock's | Oh So Peachy Photography | Plymouth, Devon.

Family photo shoots out on location always has a special place in my heart, finding a location that has a meaning for your family, a place you and the children frequent a lot, helps me to be able to capture memories for you to cherish for years to come.

I find having family portrait sessions outside gives the children the freedom to explore and have fun, much more than they could in a small studio space. When children have freedom, they give so much more to beauty to your session.

This session took place at Plym Bridge woods in Plymouth and was such a beautiful day to gain some portraits. The little girl was super shy at the start of the session and really wasn't ready to be photographed and this is ok. Some children need time to warm up to having their photo's taken. So I concentrated on her big brother and it wasn't long before she was joining in on our fun too.

I like to mention now that children always run the show at my sessions, if they need time, I give it to them, if they need a break halfway through to just run wild and free, I give it to them - plus this is always a great time to capture fun pictures of the children in action. Playing throughout our session together is key for a photo shoot that doesn't feel a photo shoot. Each session lasts an hour and this time whizzes by because it is fun and laughter all the way.
